Moa's card is extra special because she's a student with whom I took a risk to stretch her collaborative skills by pairing her with another student who typically struggles. Because I took the time to prepare this highly motivated student and her partner in advance, and coached them a little along the way, both discovered strengths in consequence. She more open and interested in collaborative work, whereas her partner reocognised abilities by raising his bar to meet hers.
Teaching IB DP English is life work - but it's incredibly fulfilling. The opportunity we have at AAS Moscow to work with the same cohort of students for two years has been incredibly gratifying. We have time to build strong relationships, to have fun, and become incredible scholars together.
